We apologize that your experience did not meet your expectations. As part of every visit, we perform a complete vehicle inspection and document our findings with photos. During your inspection, we found the A/C compressor had an internal bearing failure, requiring replacement of the compressor and expansion valve. We also found the check engine light was on due to an engine cooling system fault. Testing confirmed the cooling fan control module had failed, preventing the cooling fans from operating properly. Because the engine cooling system and A/C system are separate issues, both repairs were recommended. Modern vehicles may disable A/C operation when an engine overheating condition is detected to help protect the engine. Our recommendations were based on the results of our testing, and both repair estimates were provided at the time of service.
